This week, my Love, we welcome a new month and the start of our last quarter in the calendar year. But don’t let the calendar fool you! We’ve only just begun…

That’s because October is a universal 1 month.

One is the beginning, the energy of the pioneer and the trailblazer. One symbolizes those who have the courage to go first and to go it alone when necessary. This is what makes Ones natural leaders. The leadership of a One is not in teaching people with words or knowledge, but in showing the way by going ahead of the masses. Ones are often singular, not because they don’t have community, but because their individuality and uniqueness stand out from the crowd. Can you tell, I love me some One energy?

But we don’t have to “be” a One to activate 1 energy in our lives this month.

There may be something you notice over the next few weeks that calls you to go down a new path or to stand in your individuality despite what “the crowd” is doing. It might be trying a new painting technique that becomes your artistic trademark. Or adding an unusual ingredient that transforms a well-known recipe into your signature dish. Or maybe you start a new skincare routine. Who knows?

As with everything I share here, this is an overarching theme that will filter through the specific details of you and your life. So I hope you’re always weighing my messages against your inner senses.

The numerology of October is just the first 1 in our 111 Flavor of the Week. Let’s dive into the others now…

Early in October, on the 6th or 7th depending on your time zone, we’ll have a full moon in Aries, the very first sign of the zodiac. Thus, this full moon is also carrying 1 energy. Like 1 energy in numerology, Aries is the zodiac sign of “I Am.” Aries kicks things off! It’s the sign of self-assertion, bravery, and action. Let this month’s full moon rays infuse your soul with the boldness to explore and express all of who you are. As I like to say, adventure toward inner and outer horizons!

Because it’s full moon energy, it does signify a culmination, the results or progress of something previously started, possibly on the Aries new moon back in March. My sense, given the 1 energy of October, is that this Aries full moon could illuminate where we might need to cultivate greater courage to see something through or the courage to honor our individuality in some situation or area of life.

The final element of our 111 Flavor of the Week is not time based. It’s simply an illustration that I love. In tarot, 1 energy is most potently represented by The Magician. Or as it’s reimagined in the Secrets of the Ancestors Oracle deck—The Conjure Woman: Manifestation.

True to its numerology, Magician energy is about creating something new through a process of manifesting idea into form. The Magician harnesses great power through focus, intention, desire, and will. This card invites you to leverage all your resources and realize your full potential. There’s a reason Neo in The Matrix is called “The One.”

Make no mistake—The Conjure Woman, is a 1-of-1 woman. Magicians and Conjure Women don’t wait for their social circles to sign off on their ideas. They are guided and compelled by their unquestionable, inner, spiritual mission.

My first college major was architecture. This year has been a Sankofa year for me. I’ve been going back to retrieve old forms of creativity and self-expression from my past to feed my inspiration in the present. I revisited my old architecture textbook that I once used to create a theory for crafting short stories… Because I like to do stuff like that, Lol. 🤓

One energy is essentially this:

Architecture and numerology have a lot in common since they both deal in (sacred) geometry. Architecture is the result of Magician energy since it is ideas consciously made into forms.

Here’s a fun exercise to try this week: Sketch a blueprint for your future. The “sketch” could just be a list of words, a sensory collage, or an actual drawing or image. Have fun with it. Make it an act of creative play, which happens to be a great energy to manifest from!
