Hey, Gorgeous! Happy Hump Day and Welcome to October!
I haven’t been this excited about an opportunity since I got my book deal. I’ve been watching home design shows since I was 11, way back when Lynette Jennings Design aired on The Discovery Channel after school, okay! I watched cartoons and stuff too. But I was also learning about and marveling at the architectural tours of Frank Lloyd Wright homes.
In many ways, architecture was my first love. And, consistent with my year of Sankofa, that 11-year-old girl has leapt back into my heart, my mind, and my everyday reality.
I applied and got accepted into the Wayfair Creator Program, a commission based affiliate partnership that allows me to earn a percentage on every purchase made via my recommendation links.
Because of the way I felt when I got this notice on Monday, this felt worthy of an additional email this week. I mean, it’s also October 1, so we’re amplifying that 1-1-1 energy today!
The timing of this was just a day after I added “House Calls” to my coaching offer. In my coaching house calls, I work with clients in their own home or office to create a spatial redesign that reflects their internal transformation. Imagine if the show “Iyanla Fix My Life” was produced by HGTV. That’s Dr. Sarah’s House Calls!
Here’s what all of this means for you as a newsletter subscriber— Not much will change in your experience of receiving Your Weekly Refills. I’ll simply be adding an additional section to feature content related to home design. It will be similar to the “What’s Brewing” and “Open Mic” segments you’re already familiar with, but this section will feature my commission-based affiliate links.
I’m excited to have this option as a way to make all of this work sustainable for the long term. I have had the option to include ads through Beehiiv, the platform I host my newsletter on, but none of the ad options they’ve presented me with felt like the right fit for this space. They haven’t felt right based on what I know about my audience, and they just haven’t felt authentic to me as a platform curator.
Wayfair feels right. If you’ve followed my New York move on social media, almost everything you’ve seen in my apartment I found on Wayfair, including that olive green sofa and that bold orange accent chair! Items I really adore. It doesn’t get much more authentic than that.
So, without further ado, here’s a link to browse the affiliate gallery of Dr. Sarah’s Studio Collection. I’ve curated only the pieces I love and would buy again, provided they’re still available.
Thank you so much for opening an extra email this week and for reading this far! I’ll see you on Monday for our regularly scheduled content!
Much Love,
Dr. Sarah
