We’re finally here—at another September Equinox happening today. The equinoxes are seasonal thresholds that turn us toward Autumn and Spring. Starting now, our planet Earth rotates us into equal parts light and dark for a few days. Equinoxes provide equality, balance, equilibrium.

It’s poetic, then, that today also marks the start of Libra season, the sign of the scales. Happy birthday season to you all!

It feels like I’ve been talking a lot about change, transitions, endings and new beginnings. This September—being a 9 month in a 9 year with two eclipses, the usual equinox, and other major cycles happening now—it’s not just me! The cosmos is highlighting for many of us where we have opportunities for major culminations and commencements, where we have opportunities for rebirth and transformation.

It’ll be unique for all of us. And it’s likely been a gradual unfolding that may or may not reach a crescendo moment. But someday, you’ll reflect back and connect the dots from this time.

This week I offer this reflection: What or who are you choosing to hold across the threshold of this new season?

While drafting this newsletter, I paused to reflect on that question for myself. I found my way to Faithful Flow. In my heart, Faithful Flow feels like continuously taking the next best step and trusting that as long as I stay true to my own compass, heed my own hunches, and navigate by my own little nudges, I’m always on the right path. Faithful Flow feels like, as long as I show up with openness , the universe will show me the magic. Faithful Flow feels like walking along a garden path and trusting that I’ll find my way through it by allowing myself to get lost in the beauty of the path. (Yes, the garden metaphor because I am yet again writing this in the garden. You know me so well 😜)

Faithful Flow is the sensation, the energy I want to hold within myself as we collectively cross the seasonal threshold.

What does Faithful Flow make you feel or think about? What else do you intend to hold now?

Cause and Effect. Libra energy carries with it the idea of consequences, both good and bad. It reminds us that future results we hope for are dependent upon what we choose today. How can you be intentional about aligning your present choices with the vision you have for the future? It also reminds us to always keep our integrity. Libra is associated with law and justice, including the cosmic and the karmic. If we need to make amends, right a wrong, or anything of the sort on our end, let’s face it! We want to have a clear conscience so we can enjoy our new beginnings without constantly looking over our shoulders or getting bogged down with guilt.

Major Decisions. Along the lines of Libra’s legal associations is the theme of major decisions, including judgements and contracts. Of course, this can be literal, but for most of us this will not play out in court. We can link this to the theme of cause and effect, knowing that the “contracts,” agreements, or commitments we decide to move forward with are going to impact outcomes beyond this moment. Release the Gemini tendency to flit around sampling everything, and decide what you ultimately want. What is it that you really and truly want to commit to? What is a major decision you’ve been avoiding that you know it’s time to make? You want to retain your power of choice rather than letting others decide this for you. And when you decide, commit to your decision.

Partnerships. Speaking of committed decisions… lol. Libra is also the arena of major partnerships of all types—social, political, professional, and romantic. Libra is the diplomat, the sign of equity, balance, fairness, and constructive compromise. Are your existing partnerships fair, equitable, and balanced? Do they feel reciprocal? Do you need to give more? Do you need to get more? Is this a partnership you want to carry across the threshold of a new season?

The Brand Continues to Blossom! It’s a vulnerable thing to evolve in public, so I’m grateful to everyone who’s held space for this creative journey as the seed of Colorism Healing continues to sprout and bloom into something more. As a “personal brand” I’ve been feeling more fully integrated, and finally grasping how to curate a platform that reflects the renaissance woman that I am.
