Laughing out loud can be one expression of love, yet there are many other ways to live out loud. Matter of fact, we could just Live Laugh Love Out Loud… LOL (guess which one I used in that instance 😜)
I'm drafting this in my journal on Friday (Venus day) as I’m sitting in Central Park enjoying the shade and the sun, flowers, vines, and butterflies. That’s the vibe as a we wind down this summer season.
Speaking to my fellow dark-skinned women specifically now: You deserve fancy and fancy. You deserve a romantic life full of creativity, joy, laughter, and love.

Flavor of the Week 😋
This week, Venus (the planet of love, beauty, and luxury) enters Leo (the sign of royalty and heart). Venus in Leo is very: “Your love is King. Crown you in my Heart.” It’s also very LOL in every sense.
There’s a special potency to Venus as she saunters her romantic vibes into the fiery passion of Leo because she also gets energy from the 4 outer planets. Saturn gives Venus a slow burning passion timeless beauty, and the healthy boundaries needed for a long lasting love. Uranus gives Venus avant garde beauty and electrifying chemistry that makes sparks fly. Neptune gives Venus sheer fantasy and intoxicating romance.
Perhaps the most potent connection with Venus this week is her opposition to Pluto, the planet of power and transformation. I’ll be responsible and provide this caution: Protect feminine energy, avoid manipulation, power plays, controlling or possessive behavior, jealousy, or addictive patterns. And put fear into perspective because this could include feeling powerless. Those themes might be triggered within us or the people around us.
Venus-Pluto can be intense attraction, which is why care and sobriety is advised. It can be great, but use it with conscious intention. Don’t engage in destructive behaviors. With the energy of this week, it’s easy to get swept up, and you may not recognize when you’ve exceeded your limits or gone too far. We can hope that Saturn lends maturity and responsibility, but it can also skew toward abuse of power.
Besides the Sun in Virgo, there’s not a lot of earthy energy in the mix, so make extra effort to stay grounded!

These themes are confirmed with the tarot card that came through for us this week: the Seven of Cups, which represents Venus in Scorpio. Pluto and Scorpio energies have a lot in common. The unhealthy version of the Seven of Cups is being drunk and delusional in a self-destructive way.
The meaning that I encourage us to focus on and embrace is Visionary Imagination and Creative Possibilities. Set clear intentions to channel your energy toward a fancy fancy. Daydream about your ideals and your plans for creating and living your best life today and beyond. Bask in childlike wonder. Make art. Dance. Love.

Venus and Leo both speak to creativity, and Venus specifically represents art. I see you crafting your own unique art of living out loud, romanticizing your life as your greatest masterpiece.
This week could be an opportunity to live through the authentic power of love. Love does not seek to compare, control, or compete. The authentic power of love lets others laugh love live out loud. The authentic power of love transforms us from the inside out to live free.
For there is no love without liberation and there is no liberation without love.
