Hey Beautiful! Welcome to Dr. Sarah’s Soul Café!

The cosmic Flavor of the Week is “Faith Meets Fate,” and our main ingredient is a full moon in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. Since the night sky is brightest during a full moon, many of our ancestors saw it as a time of sight and clarity and thus a great time for reflection.

I made a milestone birthday last Friday, entering a whole new decade of life, and it’s definitely inspired me to reflect. With my solar return leading up to this particular full moon, a reflection question I have for us is:

How have life’s adventures transformed your faith?

Faith in this context isn’t tied to a particular religion. It’s about what you believe in your heart to be true. For example, I have faith that the sun will rise again tomorrow. I have faith that if I jump up into the air, gravity will bring me back to earth. I have faith that at least some humans will continue to hold the frequency of love no matter how dire circumstances are.

I also have faith that there’s more to our existence than what we can readily observe with our 5 physical senses. I have faith that the spirit realm is always communicating with us. I have faith that we humans are profoundly loved by the divine - including angels, ancestors, and The Creator.

I have faith that, in proportion to our desire, we can transform our worlds from the inside out. And life’s adventures—both the pleasurable and the perilous—have refined and honed my beliefs and my faith over time.

Perhaps something similar is true for you too. The longer you live, the more likely some prior belief or prior version of your faith was enhanced, adjusted, or even discarded. This full moon in particular is a great moment to reflect on where your faith stands now as Sagittarius is a sign of adventures, of soul quests, “higher learning,” and of faith and philosophy.

Fill Your Cup by Letting Go in Faith

Full moons are culminations, completions, endings, things being fulfilled. As when you eat and get full, so too does our moon have a moment when “enough is enough.” It’s time to release something in faith, knowing that you are enough. Even if something ends or leaves your life or changes in ways you hadn’t planned, you are enough. And whatever may change, release it in faith that space is being created for your next adventure.

The tarot card associated with this full moon is the 10 of Wands, which couldn’t be more perfect for a full moon. Based on this correspondence, what we need to release was likely exciting or inspiring at the start but has now become overwhelming or burdensome. That could mean a relationship, a job or contract, a home, a health habit, or just a fun hobby.

Even if it was an idea, belief, or version of faith that served you well and helped you become all of who you are now, this week might reveal to you how that belief or idea is now stifling your soul’s next adventure of growth and exploration.

Fulfill Your Destiny with the Pull of Fate

This full moon week might also bring us to fated moments that help us to let go of a particular burden and/or point us in the direction of our next adventure. I always say that astrology is not one-size-fits-all. So how and to what extent you feel and experience this collective energy is largely based on your personal energy. What I recommend is simply journaling about what’s happening in your life, how you’re feeling, and what you’re thinking around this time.

Pro-Tip: Review what was happening in your life or what was moving in your spirit around December 12, 2023 and December 1, 2024. This full moon could be related in some way!

Pastry & Poetry

Because my original dream of owning a café included open mic nights, I’ve included poetry as part of my virtual café ambiance. One benefit to this email version of the Weekly Refills is that I can share audio and video of poems! Based on our Flavor of the Week, I’m inspired to share “A Series of Gentle Reminders” by Rudy Francisco.

I’ll see you back here again next week with a fresh new flavor to savor together!

Much Love,
Dr. Sarah
